Ministry of Science and ICT Holds Forum to Develop 'Measures to Promote Competition in the Telecommunications Market'
The Ministry of Science and ICT will hold a public forum on the 2nd of next month at the Bankers Hall International Conference Center to devise measures to promote competition in the telecommunications market.
Following the 13th Emergency Economic and Livelihood Meeting on the 15th, the Ministry of Science and ICT decided to establish a 'Telecommunications Market Competition Promotion Policy Plan' by the first half of the year. Additionally, Vice Minister Park Yoon-kyu stated at the first meeting of the 'Telecommunications Market Competition Promotion Task Force' that they would gather opinions to discuss measures not yet pursued by referencing overseas cases and prepare policy plans accordingly.

The Ministry of Science and ICT is holding the forum to collect opinions from various experts. At the forum, Kim Min-chul, Director of the Korea Information Society Development Institute, will present on the current competition status in the telecommunications market and directions for promoting competition. Experts from academia, research institutions, the business sector, and consumer organizations will participate as discussants.
