Opening Ceremony of the Secretariat of the National Dance Festival Executive Committee
Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 27th at 11 a.m. that it has officially started activities by opening the Secretariat of the 32nd National Dance Festival Executive Committee on the basement first floor of Seongsan Art Hall. This is to prepare for the National Dance Festival to be held in Changwon, Gyeongnam, this coming October.
At the opening ceremony, about 50 people from various fields attended, including Jo Myung-rae, 2nd Vice Mayor, Jo Nam-gyu, Chairman of the Korea Dance Association Corporation, Park Nam-yong, Gyeongsangnam-do Provincial Assembly member, and city council members Kang Chang-seok and Lee Jeong-hee, to wish for the successful hosting of the National Dance Festival.
Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam opened the Secretariat of the 32nd National Dance Festival Executive Committee and began full-scale activities.
View original imageIn the afternoon, a business briefing session on the 32nd National Dance Festival was held at the central hall on the first floor of Gyeongnam Contents Korea Lab for 16 branch heads and officials from metropolitan cities and provinces nationwide, including Jo Nam-gyu, Chairman of the Korea Dance Association Corporation.
The 32nd National Dance Festival will be held from October 5 to 14, centered around Seongsan Art Hall in Changwon. Various side events are also being prepared, including pre-celebration performances by famous domestic and international dance companies such as the ‘K-World Ballet Star Invitation Performance,’ ‘Korea Contemporary Dance Collection,’ and ‘Korea Master Dancers Exhibition,’ as well as an ‘Academic Symposium,’ ‘Visiting Dance Service,’ ‘Youth Dance Festival,’ ‘Gyeongnam Dance Association and Branch Performances,’ and ‘Invited Overseas Dance Troupes.’ The festival program is designed for Gyeongnam residents, Changwon citizens, and artists to all enjoy.
Earlier, the city appointed 13 executive committee members, including Kwon Mi-ae, head of the Gyeongsangnam-do branch of the Korea Dance Association Corporation, as the executive committee chairperson in January to ensure smooth preparation for the 32nd National Dance Festival.
