Department of Technology Management at Gyeongsang National University Hosts 'Night of MOTians'
Over 100 Attendees Including Faculty, Alumni, and Current Students
The Department of Technology Management at Gyeongsang National University Graduate School recently held the "1st Gyeongsang National University MOTian Night" event at the MBC Convention Jinju Grand Ballroom, the university announced on the 277th day.
The event was a great success with about 100 attendees, including the faculty of the Department of Technology Management, 15 master's graduates, as well as certificate holders and current students.
In particular, the event marked a meaningful occasion as the first master's graduates from the Department of Technology Management at Gyeongsang National University were awarded their degrees. Among the first cohort of MOT students who enrolled in March 2021, 15 earned their master's degrees.

View original imageAt the degree conferment ceremony, 15 master's graduates received their degrees: Park Seong-ho, Lim Dong-hyun, Jang Jae-seon (advisor Jeon Cha-su), Kim Tae-kyung, Park Seong-su (advisor Jeon Jeong-hwan), Ha Chang-sik (advisor Park Jae-hyun), Kim Gyu-yong, Seo Jong-cheol, Seo Hyo-jeong, Wang Ji-hoon, Song Young-heon (advisor Kim Tae-young), Lim Jong-ho (advisor Go Jin-hwan), Kim Yoon-seung, Kim Hyo-gon, and Seol Woo-young (advisor Yoo Dong-hee).
For graduates and certificate holders, the following awards were presented: ▲ Academic Excellence Award (President of Gyeongsang National University Award) to Koo Kyo-jin, Lee Jeong-geun, Kim Yoon-seung, and Kim Hyo-gon ▲ Outstanding Research Award (President of Gyeongsang National University Award) to Kim Hyo-gon. Awards were also given for industry-academia projects conducted by students during their studies. ▲ Seol Woo-young, Lim Dong-hyun, Jang Jae-seon (Korea Testing Laboratory Director’s Award) ▲ Park Yong-gi, Seo Jong-cheol (Small and Medium Business Corporation President’s Award) ▲ Kim Tae-kyung, Park Seong-su, Lim Jong-ho (Jinju Chamber of Commerce and Industry President’s Award) ▲ Kim Gyu-yong, Wang Ji-hoon, Park Seong-ho (Korea South-East Power President’s Award) ▲ Song Young-heon, Ha Chang-sik (Gyeongnam Technopark President’s Award) ▲ Seo Hyo-jeong (Jinju Mayor’s Award), among others, totaling 14 recipients of the Excellent Industry-Academia Project Award.
In the second part of the event, a donation ceremony was held for a development fund of 5 million KRW collected by the MOT 1st cohort alumni association members. Seo Jong-cheol was elected as the first president of the alumni association to promote networking among MOT graduates.
