Fire at Apartment in Cheonan, Chungnam... 23 Residents Rescued
At around 2:47 PM on the 26th, a fire broke out on the 7th floor of a 15-story apartment building in Cheongdang-dong, Dongnam-gu, Cheonan-si, Chungnam, with black smoke billowing up. So far, 23 apartment residents have been rescued, and the police and fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire.

At around 2:47 PM on the 26th, a fire broke out on the 7th floor of a 15-story apartment building in Cheongdang-dong, Dongnam-gu, Cheonan-si, Chungnam, spreading to some upper floors.
Fire authorities, responding to the report, deployed 41 pieces of equipment and 85 firefighters, controlling the major flames by around 3:26 PM and completely extinguishing the fire by 3:39 PM.
Twenty-three apartment residents who were trapped were rescued, and among them, 14 were transported to hospitals for treatment due to smoke inhalation and other injuries.

The police and fire authorities believe the fire started in the living room of a household and are investigating the detailed cause and extent of the damage.
