Sinwolsung Unit 1 Reaches Full Power After Planned Preventive Maintenance Completion
On the 23rd, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power's Wolseong Nuclear Power Headquarters announced that Shin-Wolseong Unit 1 (pressurized water reactor type, 1 million kW class), which resumed power generation, reached full power around 5 a.m. on the 26th.
Shin-Wolseong Unit 1 began its 7th planned preventive maintenance on November 28 last year. The reactor fuel was replaced, and the condition of the heat transfer buffer plates was inspected. Additionally, tensile tests and performance certifications were conducted on the first cooling water rotating filter mesh attachment anchors to verify their integrity.
