Ministry of Education Announces Consortium Call for Online Courses in New Industry and New Technology Fields
The Ministry of Education and the National Institute for Lifelong Education announced on the 26th that they will select consortia to participate in the '2023 Industry-Customized Short-Term Job Competency Course Match-Up Project.'
This project enables companies and educational institutions to jointly develop online courses so that university students, employed, and job seekers can complete education in new industry fields in a short period. The Ministry of Education will provide 1.28 billion KRW for four new industry and new technology fields for newly selected consortia this year, and 800 million KRW for four advanced course fields among previously selected consortia.
The new industry and new technology fields are included in the '5 Major Core Areas and 22 New Technologies' announced by the government this month. Leading companies can apply individually or form consortia to apply.
For the advanced courses, four consortia will be selected from existing project fields to develop and operate advanced educational programs such as blended online and offline education and job competency certification assessments.
Companies wishing to participate in the project must submit related documents to the National Institute for Lifelong Education by 6 p.m. on April 10. The selection results are expected to be announced in May.
