Russian diplomat warns West providing tanks to Ukraine of "serious retaliatory measures"
A senior Russian diplomat has warned that there could be "serious retaliatory measures" against Western countries that have provided tanks and other equipment to Ukraine.
Igor Morgulov, Russia's ambassador to China, said in an interview with the Chinese state-run Global Times on the 26th, "The supply of tanks shows that the United States has no 'minimum standards'." He is a figure who oversaw major Asian diplomacy as a deputy foreign minister and was involved in North Korea nuclear negotiations.
Ambassador Morgulov told the Global Times that if weapons such as tanks provided by the United States and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) are used to occupy "Russia's constitutional territory," serious retaliatory measures will be taken.
