A Man in His 30s Arrested for Detaining and Stabbing His Partner Who Ended the Relationship
Charges of Special Assault, Special Injury, and Special Confinement
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] The Songpa Police Station in Seoul has arrested a man who confined and stabbed his ex-lover with a weapon after she broke up with him.
On the 22nd, Shin Hyun-il, chief judge of the Seoul Eastern District Court, issued an arrest warrant after conducting a pre-arrest detention hearing for a man in his 30s, Mr. A (38), citing concerns over the risk of flight.
Mr. A is accused of visiting the residence of Mr. B (37) in Sincheon-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul, around 5:30 p.m. on the 19th, assaulting and confining the victim, and then injuring the victim’s knee with a weapon when the victim resisted (charges include special assault, special injury, and special confinement).
Subsequently, police who responded to a 112 emergency call arrested Mr. A at a nearby hospital around 3:40 a.m.
