[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam signed a 'Business Cooperation Agreement for the Creation of an Environmental Education City' with the Gyeongnam Green Environment Support Center under the Ministry of Environment on the 15th.
This agreement was promoted to enable mutual business cooperation between the center, which provides environmental education to residents, and the city government, which works with various citizens such as self-governing organizations in eup, myeon, and dong districts, the elderly, housewives, soldiers, and students, recognizing the need for a continuous environmental education system to become an environmental education city equipped with the capacity to recognize and solve various environmental issues such as the climate crisis.

In particular, in the first half of this year, education on separate collection of transparent PET bottles for detached houses will be focused on about 200 self-governing organizations in eup, myeon, and dong districts.
The Gyeongnam Green Environment Support Center was established in 2001 within Changwon University and conducts technical consultations on prevention facilities for companies, various local environmental policy research projects, and environmental education for residents to improve the clean air quality of the Changwon industrial complex.
A representative of the Gyeongnam Green Environment Support Center said, “We will ensure that citizens are satisfied with the education through excellent instructors and lectures.”
