Factory Manager of Samsung Electronics Partner Company Booked in Connection with Death of a Person in Their 20s

The Gwangju Police Agency's Violent Crime Investigation Unit announced on the 14th that they booked Mr. A, the factory manager of DK, a Samsung Electronics partner company, on charges of professional negligence resulting in death.
The police analyzed voluntarily submitted evidence and conducted witness interviews, ultimately determining that the factory manager bore final responsibility for on-site safety measures.
Mr. A is accused of failing to fulfill his duty of care in connection with an accident on November 7 last year at around 9:14 p.m. at the DK factory in Pyeong-dong Industrial Complex, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, where worker Mr. B (mid-20s) was crushed to death by an approximately 1.8-ton iron coil.
