Yongin City announced on the 14th that it will implement the 'Multiple Children Birth Celebration Transportation Card' support project starting this year as a childbirth policy to reduce the transportation cost burden for families with multiple children.
The birth celebration transportation card can be used for taxis, buses, or paying highway tolls.
The support target is families who have given birth to their second or subsequent child after January 1 of this year. However, they must have resided in the Yongin area for more than 180 days.
The city provides a transportation card loaded with 100,000 KRW once per child.
Starting from the 27th, if parents apply for their child's birth registration at the administrative welfare center in their district, they will receive the transportation card immediately.
For families who applied between January 1 and the 24th of this month, the card will be separately mailed in March.
A city official said, "We are starting the transportation expense support project for the first time this year to help a little when visiting hospitals for newborn vaccinations or going out," adding, "We will continue to prepare various childbirth support policies to create an environment where citizens can easily have and raise children."
