Gyeonggi-do Releases 20,000 Pieces of Information Including Pet Play Facilities
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province has opened about 20,000 data entries related to pet facilities within the province, including access parks, welfare facilities, and convenience facilities.
This open data is verified data from the 'Pet Life Companion Map Open Data' construction project, part of the public data company matching support project, and is available for free to anyone on the Gyeonggi Data Dream, Gyeonggi Province's public data open portal.
The Pet Life Companion Map is categorized into ▲parks equipped with pet play facilities ▲pet medical and welfare facilities ▲pet convenience facilities ▲status of facilities prohibiting entry of dangerous dogs.
It provides location information in map form for 32 pet-friendly parks with dog playgrounds, 3,149 places including pet hospitals, pharmacies, and animal funeral service providers, 3,279 places such as pet grooming and boarding services, and 20,649 facilities prohibiting entry of dangerous dogs such as daycare centers and senior welfare facilities.
Gyeonggi Province plans to use the 'Pet Map' data to implement effective pet policies to create a safe and pleasant pet-friendly culture and to utilize the dangerous dog entry prohibition facility data as basic data to prevent occasional dog accidents.
Additionally, through collaboration with public institutions and private companies, the province will continuously share registered pet information and use it to improve pet registration rates and promote animal welfare.
