Establishing a Public-Private Collaboration System from Safety System Discovery to Improvement
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] On the 13th, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced that it held the first meeting of the 'Permanent Task Force for Discovering Safety System Improvement Tasks,' chaired by Sangmyeong Jo, Director of the Safety Policy Office.
At this meeting, measures were discussed to establish a permanent safety system improvement framework in line with the promotion of the 'Comprehensive Plan for National Safety System Reform.' The task force will organically collaborate throughout the entire process from task discovery to improvement, involving the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the National Disaster Safety Research Institute, and private experts.
Using various methods such as big data analysis of accident information and media, and investigation of overseas safety systems and accident cases, tasks will be continuously discovered and improvement plans will be prepared through problem analysis.
In particular, when urgent issues arise due to accidents with significant social impact, the Ministry plans to promptly pursue system improvements through expert consultations and advice, with cooperation between the public and private sectors.
