ChatGPT is a conversational AI chatbot developed by the US company OpenAI, based on a pre-trained natural language processing model (Generative Pre-trained Transformer), providing a generative AI service.
This public debate was organized with the recognition that all Ministry of Education employees must quickly understand rapidly advancing digital new technologies and actively consider the role and direction of change in education in the era of digital transformation.
At this debate, Ministry of Education employees will directly use ChatGPT to experience various functions, study related materials, watch videos, and have discussions about the changes AI will bring to our education.
Recently, discussions have been active in the education sector regarding the possibilities and limitations of ChatGPT as a learning support tool.
The Ministry of Education plans to hold a public debate this month and have Ha Jung-woo, head of Naver AI Lab, deliver a lecture on AI technology and the talents needed in the digital era.
Additionally, a ‘Digital Education Academic Conference’ featuring various experts from academia, industry, and schools will be held on the theme of ‘The Impact of ChatGPT on Education and the Direction of Digital Education.’
