On the 10th, Kim posted on his social network service (SNS), "When attracting investment, 'regulations' and 'incentives' are always issues," and pointed out, "Especially, central government regulations are the biggest reason why foreign companies hesitate to invest."
He particularly stated, "Northern Gyeonggi has been subject to various overlapping regulations such as military facilities, water sources, and environmental laws," and argued, "Since our competitors are often overseas rather than other domestic local governments, flexible operation of metropolitan area regulations, including the ratio of incentives for companies, is urgently needed."
He added, "Today, the '3rd Central-Local Cooperation Meeting' was held, and at the gathering of the president and local government heads, I strongly requested the resolution of overlapping regulations in northern Gyeonggi," and "There was also an opportunity to explain unreasonable regulatory cases and the vision of the 'Northern Gyeonggi Special Autonomous Province.'"
