KGT Selected as Priority Negotiation Candidate for Broadcast Rights on the 28th
Announcement After Document Submission and First and Second Round Evaluations
The Korea Golf Tour (KGT) announced the bidding schedule on the 10th for selecting a broadcasting rights operator.
KGT stated that it will use a "restricted competitive bidding method" and aims to select a preferred negotiation candidate by the 28th. Eligibility requires owning a channel capable of golf broadcasting (terrestrial or cable) and being selected by the broadcasting rights operator as the main broadcaster to freely produce and schedule content. Forming a consortium (joint supply body) is also allowed.
Companies wishing to participate in the bidding must visit the Korea Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA) office and submit the necessary documents by 3 PM on the 21st. The results of the first document screening will be individually notified on the 22nd. After the second evaluation (PT) on the 27th, the preferred negotiation candidate will be announced on the 28th.

The final selected operator through this bidding will serve as the main broadcaster for KGT, holding the broadcasting rights for tournaments and events hosted and organized by KPGA and KGT. More details are available on the website.
