According to the Korea Film Council's integrated ticketing system as of 7 a.m. on the 9th, 'The First Slam Dunk' (director Inoue Takehiko) recorded a cumulative audience of 2,503,974. It ranked third among Japanese animations released domestically, following 'Your Name.' (2016) with 3.79 million viewers and 'Howl's Moving Castle' (2004) with 2.61 million viewers.
The movie's popularity has also caused its theme song to climb back up the music charts. On the 8th, 10-FEET's "JeZEROgam" (第ゼロ感) ranked 2nd on Naver VIBE J-POP TOP 100, 2nd on Genie Music, and 4th on Melon. 10-FEET, who also participated in the music, enhanced immersion with melodies that capture the thrilling moments of basketball games.
The nationwide cheering screenings and voice actor stage greetings held this weekend sold out quickly after ticket sales opened, attracting significant attention.
