[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyun-joo] Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, announced that ahead of his third prosecution appearance on the 10th regarding the Wirye and Daejang-dong development corruption allegations, "I ask once again. I will go alone."
On the afternoon of the 7th, Lee posted on his social media (SNS), "I ask the Democratic Party members once again," expressing this sentiment.
Previously, when Lee appeared before the prosecution as a suspect on the 10th and 28th of last month concerning the Seongnam FC sponsorship fund allegations and the Daejang-dong development allegations, Democratic Party lawmakers and supporters accompanied him, which sparked controversy.
Lee said, "This time, I will go alone for the prosecution appearance," adding, "I appreciate the intention to accompany me, but I hope you understand my sincere wish that it does not become a source of conflict."

Lee is scheduled to appear before the prosecution at 11 a.m. on the 10th. Ahn Ho-young, chief spokesperson for the Democratic Party, stated in a written briefing that "Regarding the prosecution's additional investigation into the Daejang-dong project, Lee plans to appear at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office around 11 a.m. after the Supreme Council meeting on the 10th."
