5.2 Billion KRW for Utilizing Endowed Resources such as Forage Use
[Asia Economy Reporter La Young-cheol] Gangwon Province announced on the 6th that it will invest a total of 13.7 billion KRW to respond to the decline in Hanwoo prices and the rise in feed costs, and to stabilize the management of livestock farms.
The province will spend 8.5 billion KRW on four projects to increase the self-sufficiency rate of forage, supporting silage production, purchase of forage crop seeds, and machinery and equipment for utilizing idle land, while also conducting quality inspections and testing for harmful substances such as pesticide residues.
Additionally, 5.2 billion KRW will be allocated to improve forage utilization and utilize available resources, 3.3 billion KRW for improving distribution structure and stabilizing supply and demand, and 1.9 billion KRW for materials, equipment, and the production and use of total mixed ration (TMR) feed.
