Rolling Stone's Top 25 in US Pop Music
BLACKPINK 6th, Dawn 16th, J-Hope 21st
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyunjung] K-pop stars including girl group BLACKPINK, singer Dawn, and BTS member J-Hope have been selected among Rolling Stone's '25 Most Stylish Musicians of 2023' by the American popular music magazine.
Rolling Stone recently announced the ranking of the '25 Most Stylish Musicians of 2023.' To determine the rankings, the magazine formed a voting panel composed of fashion, music, and culture experts from around the world. Each panelist selected 20 musicians and then ranked them. As a result, BLACKPINK (6th), Dawn (16th), and J-Hope (21st) were included in the top 25. Following them were famous pop stars such as Dua Lipa (25th), Cardi B (24th), Beyonc? (23rd), and Harry Styles (22nd).
Regarding BLACKPINK, Rolling Stone asked, "How can one band balance streetwear, glamour, and rock and roll simultaneously?" and praised, "BLACKPINK proved that it is possible in their highly attention-grabbing 'Pink Venom' music video." They added, "(BLACKPINK) not only did that but also compressed conceptual storytelling, distinct personal styling, and well-curated accessories within 3 minutes and 13 seconds."
About Dawn, they commented, "Korean rappers have the best style, and Dawn is leading this trend," and praised, "His sense of humor and freedom shown through looks only he can pull off are enviable."
Regarding J-Hope, they explained, "Last year, he literally took fans' breath away with his all-black Louis Vuitton outfit on his solo stage at Lollapalooza, making him look strong," and added, "Fashion plays a big part in his career."

The number one spot in this ranking was taken by American R&B star Steve Lacy, followed by rapper and singer Doja Cat in second place, and Spanish singer Rosal?a in third.
