Seoul City's New Brand, 'Seoul for you' Ranks No.1 Among Locals
Overall 1st Place and Foreigners are 'Seoul, my soul'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 3rd that a total of 397,721 domestic and foreign participants took part in the slogan preference survey conducted from December 28 last year to the 31st of last month to develop a new city brand.
As a result, the overall first place was Seoul, my soul, followed by Seoul for you in second place. Domestic participants chose Seoul for you as their top choice, while foreign participants selected Seoul, my soul as their first choice.
The city determined that since the vote difference between first and second place was a narrow 2.4% of the total votes, and because the preferred slogans differed between overseas and domestic participants, an additional opinion-gathering process is necessary. Therefore, a final runoff vote will be held around mid-February.
