View original imageConvenience stores have signed a business agreement with the Seoul Metropolitan Government to expand the installation of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and to promote rescue and first aid training.
An AED is an emergency rescue device that delivers an electric shock to a cardiac arrest patient to help restore heart function. Using an AED within the golden time of cardiac arrest can increase the patient's survival rate up to 80%.
BGF Retail plans to prepare space for installing AEDs in CU stores, designate and train safety management officers for each device at each store, and contribute in various ways to spreading a culture of first aid.
Seven Eleven will prioritize introducing AEDs at a total of 50 stores, with two stores located in areas with high foot traffic in each Seoul district starting this month.
Emart24 will promote ▲ the introduction of AEDs in stores ▲ expanded participation of employees in first aid training ▲ and the maintenance and management of AEDs.
