Busan Yeongdo Police Station Arrests Suspect in Attempted Parricide Case
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] A man in his 30s who injured his father by swinging a blunt weapon at him after the father persistently asked for food has been arrested and is under investigation by the police.
Busan Yeongdo Police Station announced on the 1st that Mr. A, who lives alone with his father, was caught in the act and arrested on the morning of the 31st of last month at around 8:15 AM at a detached house in Yeongdo-gu for repeatedly swinging a blunt weapon at his father, Mr. B (in his 60s), who has mobility difficulties.
According to the police, Mr. A committed the crime out of anger because Mr. B frequently asked him to run errands such as asking for food. He is being charged with attempted parricide.
Mr. B sustained a contusion on his head and was taken to the hospital for treatment. It is reported that his life is not in danger.
