40-Year-Old Woman Missing for 12 Days Found Dead in Water Tank at Apartment Residence
[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Kyung-jun] A woman in her 40s was found dead in a water collection pit in the underground parking lot of the apartment where she lived, 12 days after being reported missing, prompting the police to launch an investigation.
According to the police on the 31st, the Eunpyeong Police Station in Seoul discovered the body of resident A in a rainwater collection pit in the underground parking lot of an apartment in Jingwan-dong, Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul, at around 1:30 PM the previous day.
Upon receiving a report from an apartment management office employee who found A during a facility inspection, the police and fire ambulance team rushed to the scene but found A already deceased.
According to the police, the water collection pit was about 1 meter wide and long, approximately 1.2 meters deep, and filled with water. A was found in a crouched position.
