Incheon City Expands Support for Korean Medicine Infertility Treatment to Include Men
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon City announced on the 31st that it will expand the support for infertility treatment using Korean medicine to include men.
Since 2020, the city has been implementing a Korean medicine infertility treatment project to help infertile couples conceive naturally and reduce their financial burden. Incheon City signed a business agreement with the Incheon Association of Korean Medicine Doctors and recruited Korean medicine medical institutions to participate in the project, designating a total of 78 institutions.
The support targets infertile couples who are registered residents of Incheon City. During the Korean medicine infertility treatment period, recipients cannot receive support for Western medical infertility procedures, and overlapping support from other Korean medicine infertility projects is not allowed.
Starting this year, the city has expanded the support target to include men of infertile couples. Eligible individuals can choose a designated Korean medicine medical institution and receive Korean medicine treatment tailored to their constitution and health condition for a total of six months, including three months of herbal medicine treatment and three months of follow-up care.
