SK Chemicals Donates 10 Million Won to Support Children with Leukemia
Integration with Proprietary Medical Platform 'Smart Key'
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Seoyoon] SK Chemicals announced on the 27th that it donated 10 million KRW to the Korea Leukemia Children's Foundation using 'Smart-Key,' a non-face-to-face medical information platform operated by its Pharma business division.
Smart-Key is an online medical information platform developed by SK Chemicals itself, created as pharmaceutical companies and the medical community found it increasingly difficult to deliver face-to-face medical information after COVID-19.
Medical professionals accumulate points by engaging in activities within Smart-Key, such as watching medical and pharmaceutical information videos. The points are donated to the Korea Leukemia Children's Foundation under the name of SK Chemicals.
Employees are reviewing the content of the medical information platform 'SmartKey' at the SK Chemicals headquarters in Pangyo, Gyeonggi-do. Donations are accumulated through activities on this platform and delivered to leukemia patients.

The 10 million KRW raised through the activities of 2,000 participants over the past year will be used for leukemia patients urgently needing surgery and treatment.
Since starting the Smart-Key linked program in 2021, SK Chemicals plans to further strengthen its social contribution activities connected with the medical information platform.
Park Junwon, head of the ESG Promotion Team at SK Chemicals, said, "This program is meaningful because it is achieved through the voluntary participation of medical professionals using Smart-Key," adding, "We will strive to activate Smart-Key so that more medical professionals can obtain the necessary information and, as a result, practice greater sharing."
