Jeonbuk Fire Department Donates 3 Million Won to Red Cross Special Membership Fee
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Jeonbuk Fire Headquarters (Chief Choi Mincheol) announced on the 26th that it donated 3 million won as the 2023 Red Cross Special Membership Fee to the Jeonbuk branch of the Korean Red Cross.
The Red Cross membership fees are used for projects that share the pain of neighbors in need and deliver hope, such as relief efforts for disaster victims and vulnerable groups in welfare blind spots, support for COVID-19 relief supplies, and medical service support, saving lives.
Jeonbuk Fire collects a certain amount from the salaries of all employees every month and donates it annually to the Red Cross Special Membership Fee.
At the donation ceremony, Jeonbuk Fire Headquarters Chief Choi Mincheol, Director of Protection and Prevention Kim Sanggon, Chairman of the Jeonbuk branch of the Korean Red Cross Lee Seonhong, and Secretary General Kwon Youngil attended.
The Korean Red Cross has designated the period from December last year to January 31 this year as the 2023 Red Cross Membership Fee Intensive Fundraising Period and is conducting a fundraising campaign.
Jeonbuk Fire Headquarters Chief Choi Mincheol said, “We appreciate the efforts of the Korean Red Cross, which serves and dedicates itself to the local community,” and added, “Jeonbuk Fire will continue to actively participate in the humanitarian activities of the Red Cross.”
Lee Seonhong, Chairman of the Jeonbuk branch of the Korean Red Cross, said, “We thank the firefighters who work hard for the safety of the residents for participating in the Red Cross membership fee fundraising campaign every year,” and added, “The funds will be used valuably to help vulnerable groups in the province.”
