Heavy Snow in the Seoul Metropolitan Area Until Late Afternoon

A heavy snow warning has been issued for the western Seoul metropolitan area, including western Seoul, and the Chungnam West Coast, requiring special caution.
The snowfall is expected to spread to the Jeonbuk area in the morning, and expand to the northern inland and northeastern mountainous areas of Gyeongbuk in the afternoon. Snow will begin in the Jeonnam area and inland Gyeongsang region from night. Snow will stop in the metropolitan area in the late afternoon and in other regions by night.
However, snow will continue until dawn on the 27th in the southern Chungcheong region, southern Gyeongbuk region, and inland Gyeongnam, until the morning of the same day in the inland Jeolla region, and until night on the Jeolla West Coast.
As of 7 a.m. that day, the snowfall amounts were 7.4 cm in Incheon, 7.0 cm in Daeyeonpyeong (West Sea 5 Islands), 5.3 cm in Gimpo Janggi, 4.7 cm in Daebudo (Ansan), 2.0 cm in Seoul, and 1.3 cm in Suwon. Other expected snowfall amounts include 5?20 cm in Ulleungdo and Dokdo, 2?7 cm in the mountainous areas of Jeju Island, 2?5 cm in Chungcheong, Jeonbuk, and western Jeonnam, and around 1 cm in southern Gyeongbuk, inland Gyeongnam, eastern Jeonnam, and coastal Jeju.
As of 7 a.m., temperatures in major areas were Seoul -8.8°C, Incheon -7.6°C, Suwon -8.2°C, Chuncheon -10.9°C, Gangneung -5.9°C, Cheongju -8.0°C, Daejeon -8.6°C, Jeonju -4.1°C, Gwangju -5.6°C, Jeju 3.9°C, Daegu -10.7°C, Busan -4.8°C, Ulsan -8.0°C, and Changwon -7.6°C.
The forecasted daytime high temperatures range from -2°C to 6°C.
Fine dust levels are expected to be 'Good' to 'Moderate' across all regions due to smooth atmospheric dispersion.
Sea waves will be 0.5?2.0 m in the East Sea coastal waters, 0.5?1.5 m in the West Sea coastal waters, and 0.5?1.0 m in the South Sea coastal waters.
