"Evolution of the Core"... Titleist Launches New Pro V1 and Pro V1x Models
Reflecting Requirements After Pro-Amateur Survey
Equipped with New Design Including High Gradient
On Sale at Official Dealers from the 27th
Titleist announced on the 25th that it will release the 2023 models of golf balls, Pro V1 and Pro V1x.
The new products focus on the evolution of the core. After conducting surveys with thousands of professional tour players and amateur golfers worldwide, the requirements identified included ball control around the green, short game performance, distance, and consistent ball flight, all of which have been incorporated.
The Pro V1 series features a new engine called the 'High Gradient Core.' The core is designed to be soft on the inside and progressively firmer toward the surface. This structure aims to efficiently transfer the force applied to the golf ball to its center.
The Pro V1x is a 4-piece golf ball equipped with a dual core. The core size has increased by about 44%, from 2.54 cm to 2.87 cm. The larger internal core combined with High Gradient Core technology provides longer distance in the long game and enhances the stability of ball flight, according to the company.
Additionally, the High Flex Casing Layer between the core and the urethane cover interacts inwardly with the High Gradient Core and outwardly with the soft cast urethane cover to improve ball speed, distance, and spin control. The ball surface uses Titleist's patented thermoset urethane. Titleist introduced that this provides a soft and delicate feel and excellent spin control. Furthermore, to ensure consistent ball flight, the Pro V1 features 388 tetrahedral dimples, while the Pro V1x has 348 dimples.
