According to the Jeonnam Provincial Council on the 20th, the 'Jeonnam Medical School Attraction Countermeasures Committee' put up banners in cities and counties ahead of the Lunar New Year and distributed promotional materials to returning travelers to promote the attraction of the medical school.

The Provincial Council formed the Countermeasures Committee in July last year, appointing Choi Seon-guk, Chairman of the Health, Welfare and Environment Committee (Democratic Party of Korea, Mokpo 1), and Shin Min-ho, Chairman of the Planning and Administration Committee (Democratic Party of Korea, Suncheon 6) as co-chairmen, with 24 council members serving as committee members.

Co-chairmen Choi Seon-guk and Shin Min-ho appealed, “It is above all important to build a national consensus on the establishment of a medical school in Jeonnam Province to attract the medical school,” and urged, “We ask that returning travelers during the Lunar New Year holiday share the intention to establish the Jeonnam medical school and actively participate in the attraction activities.”
