Reliable Park So-dam, a Global Name in 'Ghost'
Actress Park So-dam made a strong impression in the movie 'Ghost'.
Park So-dam transformed into Yuriko, the secretary directly under the Chief of Political Affairs, in the film 'Ghost' (directed by Lee Hae-young), which was released on the 18th. Yuriko is an ambitious woman who, despite being Korean, rose to the position of secretary directly under the powerful Chief of Political Affairs of the Governor-General's Office through her bold and fearless demeanor. As a character with an unyielding personality, she takes unpredictable actions to return to Gyeongseong even after being trapped in a hotel.
'Ghost' is set in 1933 Gyeongseong, where suspects trapped in a remote hotel are suspected of being spies planted by an anti-Japanese organization within the Governor-General's Office. The film depicts their desperate struggle to escape suspicion and the unstoppable operation of the real ghost. The cast includes Park So-dam, Lee Ha-nee, Sol Kyung-gu, and Seo Hyun-woo.
Park So-dam played a key role in 'Ghost' by portraying Yuriko's energetic appearance and unexpected twists. She expressed a character with various variables through her unique and diverse acting, completing a new character different from her previous works.
Before filming, she prepared by undergoing action training and learning Japanese. Through this, she performed action scenes that were both languid and sharp, and spoke foreign languages naturally.

Park So-dam debuted in 2013 with the short film 'No More, No Less' and gained attention for her impressive performance in the 2015 film 'The Priests'. She became internationally known for her role as Ki-jung in 'Parasite' (directed by Bong Joon-ho), which won the Palme d'Or at the 72nd Cannes Film Festival and four awards including Best Picture and Best Director at the 92nd Academy Awards. Last year, she starred as the lead in 'Special Delivery'.
