Hanwha to Pay 110 Billion KRW Early to Partners for Seol Holiday
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday, major affiliates of Hanwha Group will provide early cash payments totaling 110 billion KRW to about 1,500 partner companies and hold sharing events for the holiday.
Hanwha Corporation will pay 8.8 billion KRW, Hanwha Solutions 451 billion KRW, Hanwha Aerospace 30 billion KRW, Hanwha Systems 7.7 billion KRW, and Hanwha Precision Machinery 5.9 billion KRW in cash, advancing payments by up to 56 days compared to usual.
They also plan to purchase local specialties and present them as Lunar New Year gifts to in-house resident partner companies, service workers, and key customers. The total amount spent on local specialty purchases reaches 4.3 billion KRW.
Sharing activities for the local community will be conducted simultaneously. Through local community welfare centers and volunteer centers, they will deliver holiday support items to underprivileged groups such as basic livelihood security recipients.
Four companies with business sites in Pangyo?Hanwha Aerospace, Hanwha Techwin, Hanwha Precision Machinery, and Vision Next?will hold the "Love Rice Cake Soup Sharing with Hanwha" event on the 18th in cooperation with the Seongnam Volunteer Center.
Hanwha Solutions Chemical Division’s Ulsan plant delivered holiday gifts to low-income families in cooperation with local welfare centers, and the Yeosu plant will hold the "Together Far Hope Sharing" event on the 17th and 18th with local basic livelihood recipients, elderly living alone, near-poverty groups, multicultural families, and local children’s centers, delivering daily necessities worth about 15 million KRW.
