3.5% Positive Rate Among Short-Term Chinese Visitors... Lowest Level Since Entry Restrictions Strengthened
[Asia Economy Reporter Byeon Seon-jin] The positivity rate of arrivals from China who were tested immediately at the airport has dropped to its lowest level.
On the 17th, according to the Central Disease Control Headquarters, among 1,701 people who arrived at Incheon International Airport from China the previous day, 424 short-term foreign visitors underwent polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests at the airport testing center, and 15 tested positive. The positivity rate was 3.5%.
This is the lowest figure since PCR testing for short-term arrivals from China began on the 2nd. The airport test positivity rate has remained in single digits for four consecutive days.

Since the 2nd, a total of 20,816 people have arrived at the airport from China. The cumulative positivity rate for short-term arrivals tested at the airport is 13.9% (424 out of 4,279), showing a steady decline from the initial 20.4% recorded on the first day of testing.
