Daegu City Conducts Extensive Road Facility Maintenance for Lunar New Year
37 Routes of Gateway Roads, Station, and Terminal Surrounding Roads
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Koo Dae-seon] Daegu City plans to complete the maintenance of road facilities such as major gateway roads, terminals, and main arterial roads to ensure safe travel for citizens and returning visitors during the Lunar New Year holiday.
Daegu City began a comprehensive maintenance of 37 road routes totaling 340km around arterial roads, stations, terminals, and other multi-use facilities on the 2nd and aims to complete it by the 20th.
Asphalt pavement repairs, lane repainting, repairs of severely uneven sidewalks, and maintenance of damaged guardrails, road signs, streetlights, and various other road facilities are being inspected and maintained jointly by Daegu City, district and county offices, and the Daegu Public Facilities Management Corporation.
Additionally, in preparation for snowfall during the Lunar New Year holiday, snow removal vehicles and spreaders are being inspected, and emergency response teams are being operated by each road facility management agency to actively address any inconveniences experienced by citizens.
