Gyeonggi-do Holds Workshop for Department Heads Following Executive Directors... Discovering 20 Outstanding Policies

View original image[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province held the policy audition "2023 TED Workshop" with all department heads (senior officials) in attendance and selected 20 outstanding ideas.
On the 12th and 13th, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., over 200 department heads and about 80 heads of affiliated public institutions gathered at the multipurpose hall of Gyeonggi Provincial Government in Suwon to conduct an audition-style workshop under the theme of Try, Energy, and Dream, the province announced on the 15th.
Prior to this, the province received ideas from all department heads and conducted preliminary screening, selecting a total of 42 finalists. During the workshop on the 12th, 10 ideas were selected as outstanding works, including "Opportunity Ending Support" and "Promotion of Joint Production and Sales of Drinking Water in the Northern Gyeonggi Region by South and North Korea." On the 13th, another 10 ideas were selected as outstanding works, including "Traditional Market and Small Business Story Bank" and "Safety Opportunity - Measures to Eliminate Fire Safety Blind Spots Using Retired Firefighters."
"Opportunity Ending Support" is a proposal for the province, 31 cities and counties, and the private sector to cooperate in preventing solitary deaths by providing post-mortem services such as welfare during life, death reporting, and household management.
"Traditional Market and Small Business Story Bank" is a project to discover unique products, hidden restaurants, and stores and small business owners with appeal and competitiveness within the province, and to build a database (DB) of their special and touching lives.
Gyeonggi Governor Kim Dong-yeon said, "I think the biggest achievement of this event was fostering camaraderie, physical interaction, confirming that we are one team, and enabling people to comfortably express their opinions." He added, "I hope that in the future, everyone will boldly express their opinions, work with conviction, and maintain their own center with the mindset that we are one team."
