A water pipe near Wangsimni Station in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, burst, cutting off tap water supply to nearby homes for about 8 hours.
According to Seongdong-gu Office on the 14th, a leak occurred in a buried water pipe near the Wangsimni Station five-way intersection around 8 a.m., flooding some roads and sidewalks.
The Eastern Waterworks Office of the Seoul Metropolitan Waterworks Headquarters shut off the water supply around 8:30 a.m. and began emergency repair work, restoring the tap water supply to normal around 4:40 p.m.
