Special Monitoring of Environmental Pollution Activities to Be Activated During Lunar New Year Holidays in Ulsan
Operation of 3-Stage Situation Rooms Before, During, and After Seollal
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Ulsan City will conduct special monitoring activities on environmentally vulnerable areas and facilities to prevent environmental pollution during the Lunar New Year holiday period. The special monitoring will be carried out in three stages: before, during, and after the holiday.
Until January 20, before the holiday, cooperation letters will be sent to 696 air and water pollutant discharge businesses to encourage prior guidance and voluntary inspections.
In addition, a special monitoring team consisting of 6 groups and 12 members will be organized to conduct intensive patrols and special crackdowns on environmentally vulnerable businesses such as key management companies and wastewater treatment companies.
During the Lunar New Year holiday from January 21 to 24, a situation room will be established and operated, and environmental patrols will be strengthened in areas prone to environmental pollution accidents such as industrial complexes and surrounding rivers.
After the holiday, from January 25 to 27, technical support will be provided for the normal operation of discharge facilities and prevention facilities after long-term shutdowns, targeting small businesses and environmentally vulnerable companies.
