The main items for the free inspection include ▲ diesel vehicle soot and gasoline ▲ LPG vehicle carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbon (HC) concentration, and air excess ratio.
The measurement results will be communicated to drivers, and the Gyeongsangnam-do Automobile Inspection and Maintenance Business Association plans to provide simple free vehicle inspection services.
Vehicles exceeding the standard on the day will be guided to nearby designated specialized maintenance shops for inspection and repair, and participants will be given vehicle consumables such as wipers and washer fluid as gifts.
A city official said, “To reduce fine dust in the transportation sector, we promote a free vehicle emission inspection day every month and support subsidies for vehicles applying for early scrapping of old diesel vehicles and installation of reduction devices.”
