Digging into Editor Meokjjang's Photo Album!
Only Picked the Best Restaurants
An editor's photo album packed with food photos. Too good to keep to myself, so I'm sharing them all. The key point is that these photos were taken starting from January this year! There are various dishes like Samgyeopsal, clam hot pot, Nakgopsae, and more, so please scroll all the way down and read carefully!
Yaksu Geumdwaeji Restaurant
This place was always highly anticipated as a Michelin-selected restaurant, and thanks to a friend who loves good food, I visited for the first time this year. Even though I came at 3 PM, it was fully packed, so I had to wait. I wondered how popular this place could be to have so many people even at 3 PM, and just then, I got a seat. We ordered Snowflake Pork Neck and Original Samgyeopsal. I heard the kimchi stew is delicious too, but we decided to focus only on the meat. Since they grill the meat for you, I was so entertained watching that I lost track of time. As the meat changed color and the sizzling sound grew, the meat came to us first. The rich juice and chewy texture made me exclaim in admiration. It was very crowded and noisy, but I was impressed again by the passionate staff who explained in detail how to eat the meat.

Myeongdong Matcha
A latte made with a millstone? I couldn't pass by when I was near Myeongdong, so I went in. They grind coffee beans with a millstone and brew the coffee, and the aroma is really great. It feels richer than the smell you usually get when entering a cafe. Since matcha is their main menu, I ordered the Matcha Cream Latte. The soft matcha cream mixed with latte coffee tasted great, and even though it was iced, it gently soothed my stomach, making me feel good. Even people who are not Eoljuka might want to give it a try.

Taekine Clam Hot Pot Gwanghwamun Branch
Meat is great, but I absolutely can't give up seafood. It's a clam hot pot where you can eat as much of your favorite seafood as you want and even have knife-cut noodles afterward. When the pot came out, I was momentarily startled, thinking it was a baby bathtub. Inside the huge steamer, various seafood were packed, and the clam adductor muscle was cut and dipped into a hot pot with melted mozzarella cheese, then twirled and delivered to our plates. The adductor muscle wrapped in cheese was so delicious it made me want to tap my forehead! Stirring the ingredients in the hot pot and eating them, then suddenly the knife-cut noodles appeared. It's satisfying even for groups, and if you post it on SNS, you can enjoy feeling like an official food expert.

Bonsolleongtang
I was surprised by the large portions, making me wonder if it was really a franchise. I ordered Nakgopsae hot pot, which came with rice topped with egg and seaweed flakes. Usually, Nakgopsae comes with just a few octopus legs, some intestines, and a little shrimp, but this was quite generous. Would you believe I ate all the intestines until the last spoonful? The shrimp were small but enough to satisfy, and there was plenty of octopus too, giving a great chewing pleasure. They have set menus during lunchtime. If you are sensitive to spicy food, they also have various types of seolleongtang, so you should stop by once.
