View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Byeon Seon-jin] The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced on the 12th at midnight that 43,953 new COVID-19 cases were added, bringing the total to 29,698,043.
The number of new cases on this day decreased by 10,390 compared to the previous day (54,343). It also decreased by 20,141 compared to a week ago on the 5th (64,094). The number of confirmed cases has been declining for three consecutive weeks on Thursdays, showing a recent trend of decreasing case numbers.
Imported cases increased by 15 from the previous day (120) to 135.
The number of critically ill patients currently hospitalized is 510, down by 30 from the previous day. The number of critically ill patients has remained in the 500s for eight consecutive days.
There were 76 new COVID-19 related deaths reported. The cumulative death toll is 32,821, with a fatality rate of 0.11%.
