Professor Nam Jong-oh of Pukyong National University Receives Commendation from the Minister of Oceans and Fisheries
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Professor Nam Jong-oh of Pukyong National University recently received a commendation from the Minister of Oceans and Fisheries for his contributions to the development of international cooperation in the marine and fisheries sector.
Professor Nam contributed to bilateral and multilateral free trade agreement responses through his work on international cooperation policy tasks for the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries. He was recognized for his efforts in preparing proactive response measures for the Korean government regarding fisheries subsidies by analyzing the WTO fisheries subsidies chair consolidated document.
He contributed to the government's international response by proposing a supply plan for duty-free fuel for fisheries based on resource management, developing flexible fisheries subsidy response logic for the government, and preparing reform plans for the fisheries subsidy system in response to TPP and WTO/DDA.

Professor Nam also actively participated as a member and subcommittee chair of the International Deep-Sea Subcommittee of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries' self-evaluation committee, and as a member of the Fisheries Subcommittee of the Ministry's Policy Advisory Committee, contributing to policy formulation and evaluation in the field of international cooperation.
