Gibo, Recruiting Companies for the '12th Gibo Venture Camp' Participation
Focused Nurturing of Innovative Startups as Star Venture Companies
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Chairman Kim Jong-ho, hereinafter referred to as Kibo) announced on the 9th that it is recruiting participating companies for the '12th Kibo Venture Camp' to nurture capable innovative startup companies that will lead the post-COVID-19 era.
The Kibo Venture Camp is a program that focuses on nurturing innovative startup companies into star venture companies through collaboration with private accelerators, based on Kibo's accumulated experience in supporting technology startups.
The recruitment target is innovative startup companies or prospective entrepreneurs within three years of establishment as of the announcement date. Approximately 60 participating companies will be selected through the first document screening and the second presentation evaluation. Additionally, through a separate selection process, companies from non-capital regions, companies creating social value, and companies in the super-gap future strategic industry sectors will also be recruited.
Selected companies for the Kibo Venture Camp will receive various programs including ▲ consulting for establishing customized growth strategies ▲ mentoring linked with experts in various fields such as successful entrepreneurs ▲ opportunities for investment attraction and networking with private venture capital (VC). All programs are completely free of charge. In particular, graduated companies will be provided with a package of financial services such as guarantees and investments, as well as non-financial services such as research and development (R&D) support and technology transfer, to systematically support startups until they achieve successful establishment.
Kim Young-gap, a director at Kibo, said, "Among the participating companies in the 12th Kibo Venture Camp, the top 25% of companies can receive guarantee support of up to 1.5 billion KRW depending on their growth stage, along with recommendations for the Technology Enterprise First Step Fund," adding, "We will do our best to help excellent participating companies in the Kibo Venture Camp grow into unicorns."
