Famous Korean History Lecturer Jeon Hangil Donates 5 Million Won in Hometown Love Donation to Gyeongsan

Jeon Han-gil, a native of Yongsung-myeon, Gyeongsan, graduated from Gyeongsan High School and Kyungpook National University. He is currently active as the lead Korean history instructor at the Mega Civil Service Academy in Noryangjin, Seoul, and is also renowned as a power YouTuber running the channel “Kkotboda Jeon Han-gil,” which has 240,000 subscribers.
Since October last year, Jeon has been serving as a promotional ambassador for Gyeongsan City, promoting various cultural events and diverse policies.
Jeon Han-gil said, “I am very proud that my hometown has grown into an educational city with ten universities gathered here, and I am deeply grateful to be entrusted with the role of leading the promotion of the meaningful hometown love donation system.”
The hometown love donation system, implemented on January 1 this year, allows donors to receive a full tax credit for donations up to 100,000 won within an annual limit of 5 million won, a 16.5% tax deduction on the excess amount, and additional gifts worth up to 30% of the donation amount.
Gyeongsan City plans to present donors with gifts such as agricultural products including jujubes, Shine Muscat grapes, peaches, plums, traditional liquor, processed jujube products, and Hanwoo beef and Korean pork sets.
