Hwasun-gun, Many Recipients of Awards for Contributions to Sports Development

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] At the end of last year, four leaders of the Hwasun-gun Sports Association received commendations from the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism for their contributions to sports development.
Leader Lee Jinsuk, who received the commendation from the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, opened band groups at seven class locations in July 2020 when face-to-face classes became difficult due to COVID-19, conducting 39 diverse programs.
She was also recognized for her contributions to promoting community sports by conducting 91 real-time interactive (ZOOM) online classes for seniors in Doam-myeon and producing programs as part of Jeollanam-do’s senior sports support project "Cheongchun Baekse".
Kim Heejeong, the office team leader who received the Jeollanam-do Governor’s commendation, took the lead in promoting harmony in the local community during various sports events through smooth communication with school sports, professional sports, and community sports clubs.
Leader Park Hyesuk, who received the Jeollanam-do Sports Association President’s commendation, contributed to the development and dissemination of senior community sports programs such as line dance, health gymnastics, dementia prevention, and laughter therapy at town and township welfare centers and senior centers with exceptional passion.
Leader Ha Sangmin, also awarded the Jeollanam-do Sports Association President’s commendation, introduced a new health program for seniors using foam rollers, which was selected as the best program at Nadri Welfare Center, and developed and disseminated a strength training program for seniors using squat bands, receiving positive responses.
