Yangsan-si Secures 201.4 Billion KRW in National Funding for Key Projects This Year
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Yangsan City, Gyeongnam secured 201.4 billion KRW in national funding for key projects in 2023, an increase of 10.6 billion KRW compared to last year.
The national funding projects for Yangsan City in 2023, revised and approved by the National Assembly on December 24, amount to 531.9 billion KRW, of which 201.4 billion KRW is allocated to 128 key projects.
Major increased projects include the Nopo?Bukjeong Yangsan Urban Railway construction project, which was increased by 15 billion KRW from the original government proposal of 63.2 billion KRW to 78.2 billion KRW; the establishment of the Natural Products Safety Support Center, increased by 600 million KRW from the original 3.9 billion KRW to 4.5 billion KRW; and the local water supply modernization project, increased by 200 million KRW from the original 3.8 billion KRW to 4.0 billion KRW.
The Gyeongnam Eastern Region Youth Employment Academy project, promoted by Gyeongnam Province, was not included in the government proposal but was increased by 1.4 billion KRW.
The Gachon 6 District disaster risk prevention project, also not included in the government proposal, was increased by 500 million KRW at the National Assembly stage, and the Beopcheonsa repair and maintenance project was newly increased by 100 million KRW.
