Jeju Fire Headquarters to Implement 'Fire Prevention Measures' Until the 20th

[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] The Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Fire Safety Headquarters (Head Park Geun-o) announced on the 4th that it will promote fire prevention measures focusing on 12 key tasks in 4 areas until the 20th.

The Jeju Fire Headquarters plans to strengthen fire safety by conducting surprise fire safety inspections on multi-use facilities (315 locations) such as large marts, passenger terminals, airports, and hotels in the province, as well as joint fire safety inspections with related organizations on traditional markets (25 locations) to eliminate vulnerabilities and promptly correct deficiencies.

On the 11th, the Safety Inspection Day for multi-use facilities will be operated to strengthen voluntary inspections centered on related personnel. In addition, fire safety management will be enhanced by sending letters to fire-vulnerable facilities such as residential vulnerable facilities and promoting safety consulting by fire station chiefs.

In particular, fire prevention awareness will be raised by periodically sending safety information and fire prevention messages through a separate information sharing channel for fire-vulnerable targets such as logistics warehouses, factories, construction sites, and nursing homes.

Fire prevention publicity and communication will also be strengthened by using local broadcasting and radio media to disseminate evacuation guidelines in case of fire.

During the Lunar New Year holiday period (from the 20th to the 25th), all fire stations will enter special alert duty to minimize human and property damage through prompt response to emergencies such as fires.
