HiteJinro Breaks Record for Highest Sales of 'Chamisul Fresh' Last Year... 9% Increase Compared to Previous Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] ‘Chamisul Fresh’ broke its sales record last year.
HiteJinro announced on the 4th that the sales volume of Chamisul Fresh last year reached an all-time high. Having grown at an average annual rate of 5% over the past 10 years, the sales volume of Chamisul Fresh increased by 9% compared to 2021.
The company emphasized that despite being a popular and large mega brand that has held the number one sales position in the domestic soju market for 16 years, Chamisul Fresh continues to grow steadily. After the endemic phase last year, sales in the entertainment market rose by 23% compared to the previous year, setting a new record for highest sales. In the home market as well, sales have steadily expanded by an average of 10% annually over the past two years since the COVID-19 pandemic, showing simultaneous growth in both the entertainment and home markets.

Since its launch in October 1998, Chamisul (including both Fresh and Original) has sold a cumulative total of 37.5 billion bottles over 24 years and 3 months until December last year, which equates to 49 bottles sold every second. In November last year, Chamisul Fresh PET products underwent a package renewal, applying eco-tabs that facilitate recycling, thereby strengthening eco-friendly ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) activities.
