The Nam-gu Health Center formed a TF team consisting of visiting nurses, health branch offices, clinic staff, and volunteers to enter an emergency response system for the cold wave. Visiting nurses directly visit vulnerable groups to measure basic health indicators such as blood pressure and blood sugar, provide scarves, and focus on managing the health vulnerable groups so they can spend the winter warmly and healthily.
For winter health management, the Nam-gu Health Center urged adherence to cold wave health management guidelines including ▲doing light indoor exercises ▲consuming adequate fluids and balanced nutrition ▲checking the perceived temperature before going out ▲maintaining an appropriate indoor temperature (18?20 degrees Celsius) ▲refraining from outdoor activities and maintaining body temperature with gloves, scarves, hats, and masks when going out inevitably ▲reducing stride length and wearing low-heeled, non-slip shoes to prevent fall accidents.
