This Job Creation Merit Award was established to discover individuals who have played a leading role in regional employment stability by creating good jobs.
In particular, the Presidential Citation is awarded to only one person nationwide among local government-funded institutions, and the recipient was Director Song Gyu-young of the Gyeongbuk Hybrid Parts Research Institute.
Since 2020, Director Song has been responsible for government and local government job projects such as the employment stability preemptive response package support and youth job projects, working hard to secure excellent jobs for youth, job seekers, and small and medium-sized enterprises in the Gyeongbuk region.
He also made great efforts to discover jobs for the future industry transition and significantly contributed to job creation in the Gyeongbuk region, resulting in the creation of 500 youth jobs and the discovery and policy efforts for 280 jobs in 80 companies in crisis areas within the region.
