Yongin City to Create Seongbok 1 Neighborhood Park in Seongbok-dong... Completion by End of Next Year
[Asia Economy (Yongin) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province is creating Seongbok 1 Neighborhood Park, covering an area of 23,353㎡ in 192-4 Seongbok-dong, Suji-gu.
This site is one of the long-term unexecuted parks set to expire in January next year. Yongin City completed land compensation last year by investing 27.5 billion KRW.
Yongin City will spend 1.65 billion KRW to create a forest resting area where residents can relax, including a lawn yard, swing chairs, and hammocks, with completion scheduled for December next year.
The existing hiking trails will be renovated into walking paths, and gardens and flower beds using various lighting will be created near the sidewalks to provide visual attractions for citizens.
A city official stated, "We will proceed with the construction without delay so that citizens can enjoy leisure and rest in the city as soon as possible," adding, "We will also ensure that the remaining park construction projects for long-term unexecuted parks are carried out smoothly so that these parks can return to the citizens."
